Built in Huntsville Since Day One
About Huntsville Quality Kitchen Cabinets
A custom cabinet shop in Huntsville, AL — where every cabinet is built from scratch by the same team that installs it.
Our Story
A Local Shop That Actually Builds What It Sells
Huntsville Quality Kitchen Cabinets started because we saw a gap in what Huntsville homeowners were being offered: either overpriced showroom cabinets with long lead times and no flexibility, or big-box stock that nobody's happy with five years later.
We built a different model. A Huntsville fabrication shop where custom cabinets are built from raw lumber — not assembled from prefab boxes. An installation crew made up of the same craftsmen who work in the shop, not subcontractors who've never seen the project before installation day.
That continuity — from design through fabrication through installation — is what makes the difference. We've been building this way for over 15 years, and every kitchen we've installed has been measured, built, and set by people who take that personally.
What Sets Us Apart
In-House From Start to Finish
Every step of your project — design, fabrication, and installation — is done by our own team in Huntsville.
01
Our Huntsville Shop
We operate a local fabrication shop where every cabinet is built from raw lumber. We mill our own hardwood face frames, build our own plywood boxes, and apply our own finishes. Nothing ships from a warehouse.
02
Our Own Install Crew
The people who install your cabinets are the same people who built them. They know how the cabinets are constructed — which means when they encounter something unexpected on install day, they can handle it on the spot.
03
No Subcontractors
We don't hand your project off to a subcontracted crew on installation day. You work with the same team from the first measurement to the final walkthrough. That's it.
What We Build
Our primary work is kitchen cabinetry — full custom, semi-custom, and solid wood hardwood kitchens. We also build custom bathroom vanities, pantry storage systems, laundry room cabinetry, and commercial millwork for Huntsville offices and breakrooms.
Everything we build is designed for North Alabama's climate: kiln-dried hardwoods at 6–8% moisture content, furniture-grade plywood boxes, and catalyzed conversion varnish finishes that don't soften in Alabama summers.
How We Build
The Materials and Methods Behind Every Cabinet
Furniture-Grade Plywood Boxes
Every cabinet box is built from furniture-grade plywood — not particleboard. Plywood holds fasteners, resists moisture, and doesn't swell when water reaches the base of a cabinet. Particleboard fails all three.
Solid Hardwood Face Frames & Doors
We use solid domestic hardwoods — oak, maple, cherry, walnut, and hickory — kiln-dried to 6–8% moisture content before milling. That's the right range for conditioned North Alabama homes.
Blum Hardware Throughout
Soft-close hinges and full-extension drawer slides on every cabinet — no exceptions. Blum hardware is rated for 200,000 open/close cycles and backed by a lifetime warranty.
Catalyzed Conversion Varnish
We finish all cabinet surfaces with a catalyzed conversion varnish — a two-component chemical-cure finish that hardens to a hard, chemical-resistant film. It won't soften near the dishwasher or chip at door edges.
Dovetail Drawer Boxes
Drawer boxes are built with dovetail joinery — the strongest mechanical joint for a drawer box under repeated load. Not stapled together. Not held by dowels and glue. Actual joinery.
2-Year Workmanship Warranty
We warranty our cabinet construction and installation workmanship for two full years from installation date. If something's wrong, we come back and fix it. That's how we've built our reputation in Huntsville.
