We build every cabinet box from furniture-grade plywood — not particleboard. Plywood holds fasteners through thousands of open/close cycles. Particleboard strips out within a decade of real use. Base cabinet boxes see moisture from dishwashers and under-sink plumbing — plywood doesn't swell, particleboard does.
Solid Hardwood Face Frames
Face frames are the structural front of every cabinet — where hinges mount, where doors align. We build them from solid hardwood (oak, maple, or poplar depending on the finish). Hardwood face frames hold hinge screws for the life of the cabinet without re-drilling. Softwood frames give out in 5–10 years of real daily use.
Catalyzed Conversion Varnish Finish
We finish all cabinet surfaces with catalyzed conversion varnish — a two-part chemical-cure finish that hardens to a high-resistance film.
